Learn how Angle of Incidence influences a Continuously Variable Filter
Angling of linear variable filters
When using Continuously Variable Filters in your optical system it is important to take into consideration how the filter is illuminated.
In this white paper we analyse the influence of Angle of Incidence (AOI) on the edge wavelength of a Continuously Variable Edge Filter.
The Filter is designed for an AOI = 0 degrees and we show how the edge wavelength can be tuned slightly for AOIs ranging from 5 to 30 degrees.
